Haiku Corner

A Haiku is a style of poetry that originated in Japan. It is written in only three lines: 
the first line has five syllables,
the second line has seven syllables,
and the last line has five syllables.

One of the most famous Haiku poems was written by a poet named Basho.
Here is one translation:

quiet pond, still and old
a frog... it is jumping in!
the sound of water
